ZAKAH ZAHARA
Noel purchased Zakah Zahara when he was just a weanling. During his transportation from Victoria to Queensland, the young foal fell over in the truck and was stood on by the other horses. On arrival his legs were so badly injured that Noel was advised by two vets to put him down.
Noel knew better.
After many years of attention and training, Zakah Zaharah has proven to be everything his owner had hoped for - a world class endurance horse.
Noel sold Zak to Sheihk Mohammed of the United Arab Emirates in 2004 and since then the world has watched him excel time and time again.
His most recent achievements include winning the European Endurance Championships in 2007 and being a part of the Gold Medal winning UAE team in the World Endurance Championships, Malaysia 2008.
Zak is a world champion endurance horse and Noel proudly owns several Hirstglen horses by him including Zeppelin, Zonic, Zeus, Zaire, Zaclyn, Zambezi and Zelda.
HIRSTGLEN FARGO
Fargo is more than a spectacular endurance horse - he is Donna's best mate.
Together they have achieved 4 x 1st placings including the 2007 Queensland State Championships and 2 x 160km 2nd placings, which were the 2008 Tom Quilty Gold Cup and a Trans-Tasman Challenge.
Together Donna and Fargo are a formidable team, with more kilometres in successful completions than we care to add up - we are sure there will be many more to come.
